Career Positions
Benton County Fire District #4 (BCFD4) provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the City of West Richland and surrounding Benton County areas.
Individuals interested in joining our department are encouraged to monitor the National Testing Network (NTN) for future hiring announcements.
BCFD4 operates from three stations and responds to more than 2,300 calls each year, including mutual and automatic aid with neighboring departments. Firefighters work a 48/96 shift schedule and participate in daily training, emergency response, and station operations as part of a professional fire service team.
Members of the district also serve on specialized response teams, including:
- Swift Water Rescue
- Technical Rescue
- Incident Management
These assignments provide opportunities for firefighters to develop advanced skills and participate in complex emergency operations throughout the region.
Application Process
When career firefighter positions become available, applicants will be required to complete the testing and application process through National Testing Network (NTN).
